Valley Dirtlands Cultivation Site, Saturday, October 14th, 2017 – 04:00#

Special Response Team members infiltrate the warehouse at the Valley Dirtlands Cultivation Site through the North Employee Entrance.

They neutralize a couple of IDS guards in the immediate area and take control of the security system from the computer terminal located in the Stockroom.

After evaluating the situation, identifying potential targets, and assessing possible threats, they decide to disable the fire extinguisher system and set up blocks of C4 on the wall separating the Stockroom from the Processing Lab. Another charge is placed on the outer wall between Growhouse B and C.

Dakota Knight makes his entrance just as Crunchy is setting up C4 in the Stockroom, forcing the latter to flee.

The C4 planted on the outer wall detonates, while the one in the Stockroom fails, forcing the team to backtrack and redeploy it. Dakota Knight is nowhere to be seen.

A huge explosion rips through the facility, launching a massive chunk of the roof dozens of meters into the air, shattering all the glass in the area, and bending the corrugated metal walls.

An expensive-looking Tesla speeds toward the installation’s gate. The SRT opens fire, causing the car to spin out of control and crash at the bottom of the hill.

Dakota Knight, somehow still alive, attacks Sprinkle with a proboscis-like appendage launched from an inflamed, suppurating navel, but is stopped by Husky’s precision shots.

The SRT mission ends with Doc collecting blood samples from Dakota Knight and taking his corpse away for disposal.

Grouse Drive, Weldona, Colorado - Saturday, October 14th, 2017 – 05:30#

Working Group Masticate texts Bill Knight, pretending to be his son Dakota, and requests a meeting at a secret location. The reply comes a few minutes later: “Why don’t you come over for a drink?”

The agents drive to Bill Knight’s mansion. They break into the house and find the old man sitting in front of a TV, his eyes clouded with cataracts, emanating the alluring Scent. Before he is executed by the Teeth, he stares at them and remarks on “how different they look.”

After collecting his mobile phone and computer, the agents’ van drives away, leaving behind a mansion engulfed in flames.

Aftermath#

A narrative is constructed by the Program and the Agents.

Backed by evidence found in his house and online diaries, Dakota Knight is framed as having killed his father Bill, who had discovered his son’s misdeeds. Dakota is now missing and considered a fugitive by law.

Dr. Reza Houshian is accused of negligence leading to the warehouse explosion and multiple deaths.

Evidence from Bill Knight’s phone and computer shows him posing as Scott Mariposa on the dating site ChristianMingle.com, where he lured and murdered Margery Lindbottom.

Blood samples taken from Dakota Knight contain undeterminable substances bearing a strong resemblance to the Stew.
