Social Media Disgracing - 02:00
The Agents book rooms in a remote hotel off a highway north of Los Angeles.
Agent Locke spends most of the night editing Hugh Sun’s video of Ihejirika’s death, making certain that Sutton and Sainz are shown gathering up a phone, wallet, and keys from the victim’s pockets.
Agent Jocko misses Zen, who is still staying with Emma’s brother. When he visits the toilet, he gets attacked by a bat.
Friday 23rd November 2018 – 09:00
Agent Locke hacks Sainz’s girlfriend’s account (password: Ch@nn3lno5) and forwards messages between them but also adds a post mentioning that “I’m pregnant and I don’t want to keep it”.
Calling Gully’s home, the Agents get no answer.
Agent Myra learns from Pitzerelli that his wife was seriously injured during the raid. The anger and frustration lead him to take the rented car and drive back to Los Angeles.
Before the Agents leave the motel, Agent Locke uploads the videos to the internet.
SEB Training Facility – 13:00
Agent Myra, in his vehicle, stakes out the shooting range at the SEB Training Facility Marlin visited yesterday.
Agent Jocko rides an Uber to the same location and joins Agent Myra. The former puts on an Obama mask, the latter a Trump one.
Marlin exits the training facility and enters his police cruiser. The agents drive after him.
At a traffic-lights stop, Jocko stealthily maneuvers to the cruiser’s passenger side and attempts to grab Marlin.
Shots are fired; Marlin gets seriously injured and falls unconscious. Agent Lance accidentally drives over and kills two people on the sidewalk while trying to escape. Marlin is shoved in the trunk and the Agents drive away.
They enter a multi-story parking garage. On the 3rd floor, they unsuccessfully attempt to change vehicles and get caught on camera. Agent Jocko drops Marlin three floors down to ground level, killing him.
An attempt to escape by climbing down three floors using a rope proves almost lethal for Agent Myra, who loses grip and falls to the ground. Agent Jocko picks him up, hijacks a nearby car that was moving, drops Myra at the closest hospital, and then heads to a nearby park. From there he calls a taxi that takes him to Gully’s House.
Gully’s House – 13:00
Agents Artemis & Locke arrive at Gully’s mission-style house in Rancho Dos Vientos. They find a disabled doorbell camera and a minivan coated in a thick layer of pollen. All the curtains are drawn. They enter the house through the back door.
- The home reeks of death, feces, cinnamon, and peroxide. The foyer is littered with shredded delivery boxes, each purchased from Rebecca Gully’s account. Judging by the labels, the contents were chemistry equipment, medical supplies, dog kennels, and hazardous substances from laboratory supply companies.
- The dining room table is covered in faded homeschool worksheets dated over a year ago.
- In the kitchen, cans of food fester opened in a neat row along the countertop. A filthy spoon lies on the splattered kitchen tile where it appears to have been dropped after every standing meal.
- No photos hang in the house besides a few group shots of the parents and two children. No grandparents or cousins, not even in an album. Crucifixes and cross-stitched verses hang all over the walls.
- The basement has been turned into a holding cell and laboratory.
- Three rotting bodies, a woman and two children, lay discarded to the side, in advanced stages of decay.
- The body of a black woman is strapped to a cruciform rack. The Agents deduce that she broke her neck thrashing against the leather head restraint after straps on the torso came loose. Both gray-blue arms are covered in needle marks and bruising.
- Franklyn Dyer’s Journal is found amongst notes and semi-translucent gray paste stored in mason jars.
Agent Jocko arrives at around 17:30. Pitzerelli is informed of Agent Myra’s location and arranges his transfer to a safe private facility outside the city.
Agent Locke leans into the journal. There are several mentions of dreams in which Dyer became a “true magi” destined to “speak to the alien gods.” And then more off the “De Vermis Mysteriis”, the “Pledge Dram” and “Das jenseitige Gewürm” (the Worms from Beyond.)

Gully Arrives – 21:00
The Agents set up an ambush for Anton Gully, who arrives a few hours later. Agent Jocko and Locke feel their God’s hunger. Jocko lets himself loose and attacks.
They manage to take him by surprise and, after a brief altercation, exterminate him before the Gully-Thing kills Jocko with unnatural prismatic lights that shoot from his eyes.
Gully’s body collapses in a wet, steaming husk.
The Agents set the house on fire and drive off with Pitzerelli’s extraction team van. Dyer’s diary perishes in the fire.
Getting off the Grid
The Agents brief Pitzerelli on the case and hand over the mason jars.
Agent Myra is treated under the pseudonym “Bob Loblaw”.
Agent Jocko, an almost broken man, blames Agent Lance for everything that went wrong. He decides to commit himself to mental therapy.
Agent Locke goes underground.
Chipping the Huntress
Agent Artemis receives Pitzerelli’s congratulations and praise for a job well done. On her way out, she receives Bast’s mark after a passerby’s small terrier bites her ankle.
